MICROSOFT WINDOWS PHONES ARE ALMOST DEAD | NO MORE SOFTWARE SUPPORT



Microsoft has announced that support for windows phone 8.1 is going to end. According to surveys, it is the most popular part of Microsoft operating system and it runs on more than 80% of windows phone handsets.

Ending support means that :-
  • The company will not provide any new updates, bug fixes, etc.
  • People who will still use the phone will be on their own unless their handsets is ready for a software update.


This is going to be a benefit for android and ios companies as they have no competition left. Some of the phones running on the windows 8.1 operating system are  Lumia 1520, Lumia 920, etc
