AIRTEL RS.399- UNLIMTED PLAN? | WHAT IS THE CATCH? | DETAILED REVIEW

After Jio has entered into the telecom sector, every other company is trying to complete with the Jio's aggressive & voice plans. To continue this competition, airtel has come with a so called “unlimited data & voice plan”.
So, we have decided to do a complete & detailed review of this plan. Let’s see whether this plan is capable to compete with Jio existing unlimited plan or not.

What is the Plan’s details?
According to airtel, This plan is providing 1 GB data/day & unlimited voice calling to any network for the 4G users.
What is the Validity?
After checking several time on various website & twitter, we finally found that there is no fixed validity for this plan. Validity of this plan varies from customer to customer. In most cases this plan is giving 70 days & 84 days validity. In some cases, this plan is available only for 28 days.

Availability?
This plan is not available in all the circle & the price varies from circle to circle. Also this plan is not available for all 4G users.
You have to check manually on the Airtel Official app that whether you are eligible for this plan or not. Airtel is also sending promotional SMS to the selected users who are eligible for this plan.
What are the Hidden terms & Condition?
Airtel is promoting this plan by saying it unlimited data & voice plan but the actual truth is different.
You won’t get unlimited data in this 399 plan. You will get maximum of 1 GB data/day. After consuming daily limit of data, you will be charged for every single KB. Unlike Jio, your speed won’t get reduced to 128kbps & you have to pay for every extra byte of data.
If we talk about the voice calling, this plan won’t let you provide unlimited voice calling. If you cross 1000 minutes/week limit, you will be charged 10 paisa/minute for on-net & 30 paisa/minute for off- net calling. There is also some daily limit of the voice calls in this plan.
Our Verdict
Calling this plan as “unlimited data & voice calling plan” is so wrong because it won’t provide you unlimited service of data & calling. Although this plan is far better than the airtel’s previous data & voice plan (When Jio was not In the market). But if you have a choice to move to Jio (by purchasing new SIM or by MNP) then you should go with the Jio because this plan is not giving you any extra service which is not given by Jio.
You can take this plan only if you don’t have any option to use Jio SIM. Airtel is still trying to fool the customers by doing wrong & false promotion.
